a bento box meant for a sandwich. minimal exterior expression contrasts with a maximal and utilitarian interior.
bread is kept warm on the warm side via a heated thermal mass, perforated racks, and a ventilated cavity
while the innards of the sandwich are kept cool on the freezer side via a chilled thermal mass and insulation.
the two sides are separated from one another by an interlocking joint which also houses the utensil, a knife used to spread the condiment.
the entire box can only be opened via a single sequence of moves, creating a sense of security for the sandwich components.
